![]() ![]() Once you reach ~6.7 you start to find decent tanks, but they universally come with crippling weaknesses. Your enemies will get more and more armour, firepower, and mobility, while you languish in the same sort of crap you had at 1.0. Once you reach maybe 4.7 or so, it's all pain from then onwards. Personally, I love them and they do get a lot of use, especially in Tier IV - V.īritish tanks typically have a) no armour, b) no explosive filler in their ammo, c) no mobility (in some cases they lack reverse speed, in some cases they lack any speed).Īt low tier British are quite decent, as the tanks down there do have mobility, nobody has armour, and enemies are generally smaller with fewer crew, making explosive filler of lower importance. ![]() So, it's just a harder nation to play, especially for newer players or ones who don't want to enemy tanks and where to hit them with only solid shots. Biggest downside is the often horrid reverse speed with many sitting at -3 to 5km/h, but some post war ones do improve it. Some are fast, some can climb well, others can't do such so well. Third, mobility is not the best for a good amount of their tanks. They do get better in Tier IV and V though. Especially from Tier I - III they essentially have flat and quite thin armor along with 'meh' interior size, making them quite easy to penetrate. But, they do get APDS earlier then other nations and have lots of HESH firing tanks. They only have 2 tanks that use AP with an explosive filler (Sherman II and A1E1), so they are left with solid shot that is harder to use. They have some issues that people are not, well, good (at first) with. ![]()
